Jtamang drops 25.2 lbs in her 6 Week Finding Your Perfect Diet...

That is a lot of weight for a discovery program, and yet she did it. The next biggest loss so far this program is a little over 15 pounds. Don't forget there are still 4 days left!

I'll be honest I expected more of those who joined to go after the fast weight loss from the end of the second week. I was surprised at how many opted for a third week of discovery. So many felt that for the first time they were getting a handle on their food that they wanted to make sure they had it right before jeopardizing their success by running to fast weight loss. I was thrilled.

Everyone usually wants the weight to fall off fast, but few are willing to put in the hard work it takes. During this first program it became apparent that the idea of honestly finding the perfect diet was a hit. So many are just as happy to lose weight slowly now that they know they can eat real foods, not feel deprived, and not gain weight...with the added bonus that they actually lose weight.

Lovilla is convinced she is cured! It didn't long. It was like the answer she had been looking for was in the first couple weeks of her program and she feels confident she no longer has issues around her food. No if only I could package that for everyone!

The Finding Your Perfect Diet program is designed as a course in reality. For almost everyone, once they discovered the truth behind their eating, the idea of making better choices, choices that were theirs not mine or any other diet coaches, they found peace with their food.

AZIS has always resorted to food for comfort when stressed. Wouldn't you know it during the course of this program she was challenged again. This time though she did not answer it with food. As a matter of fact she told me overeating wasn't even an issue. Could it be because she still has that half and half in her coffee, her one indulgence in life? I don't know, all I know is that she is someone I have worked with before and the change this time around was close to miraculous from my view point.

I think what the success of this program revolves around is learning not to fear food but to understand it and your relationship to it. The aha moments each week are amazing. I am so in love with this program!

Here is what some others who are in the second group had to say...

Cheri...

The most profound thing for me was learning that it was OK to change my focus on change itself rather than the numbers on the scale.

This backward approach is brilliant!  Maintenance is the hardest part of any program.  Losing the weight is hard too, but once we get the weight off we tend to go back to eating the way we've always done which means the weight comes back on.  This approach has given me a feeling of power.

Goodbeets...

The major changes I have made these past two weeks are paying attention to what I will eat to maintain my weight rather than only focusing on losing weight.   I also have found that, though a raw diet may be ideal for my body it is not always ideal for my life and that, rather than just getting upset with myself, giving up and over-eating crap, there are healthy transitional choices that I can make which feel good in my belly and my brain.

It was really a tremendous relief to begin a diet without major restrictions and to see what I liked rather than what I "should" eat.   I realized that I barely knew what I liked, what felt good.  I was relying far too much on what someone else felt was good for me.  This way works far better.  It is realistic as well as empowering!

Jeanninecook...

I think this is the biggest change for me.  The realization that nothing is off the diet permanently gives me some relief.  I have deleted so much from my food list that I was rebelling more and more. Funny, it's something I have always known but the dots just weren't connecting. I am getting better at responses to cravings.  A couple times this past week I just went for a walk outside instead of to the refrigerator.  This is a big deal for me who tended to just eat whatever was calling my name at the moment.

This backward approach made me feel more comfortable about where I am going for long term.  It took the stress out of the picture.  I have a better handle on this is what I can do for weight loss and this is what I can do to maintain which allows me the little treats within reason. What a mental relief!

LNTBB...

Biggest change is to LOOK at what I eat.  I can no longer just tell myself I'm making healthy choices and not be aware of the costs of the foods for real! My outlook is that planning is not the enemy, my idea that it was so difficult is changing.  I'm actually thinking positively about the prospect of planning as a way of life - but don't let me get crazy!

This was the first diet plan that made sense to me.  I have always known that at some point I would leave any weight loss plan eventually, because the focus was always about cutting  back to lose.

Starting with what I actually eat - with out being fussed out, to be free to discover.- opened my eyes first of all.  Before I denied myself with the intent to lose weight, I had to realize how much extra I was eating. I think that is why so many of my diet attempts fail.  I eat way more than I thought so the denial is a lot bigger than I knew. ( which explains the return to normal later on)  Once my normal was established, now I am in a position to think about decreasing to lose.

Realizing that I can self adjust and then 'shave' from my normal just seems to make so much sense!

Jzarech...(our first man!)

Realized that I had to trade the short term pleasure of doughnuts and cookies for the long term pleasure of looking sexy and feeling more confident. The sweets have a very very high price tag!

The backward approach worked great. My body fat percent has dropped from 23% to 19% in the last 3 weeks. Steady Steady loss. And I haven't even cut calories yet. Besides the program --  having a great motivator like Carlene actually studying you and your habits is golden. You can't buy that in a book!

Ccrunk2001...

I have completely changed my long term outlook.  Before, I was very focused on loosing weight, how long will it take me, etc.  When I started thinking long term (in Carlene's words, can you eat like this for the rest of your life?) I changed my perspective mentality and saw being happy again.

I think it is important for those who have mental weight issues, not just physical, to start out with this type of approach.  Loosing significant weight is not just about eating healthy and exercising but also about THINKING healthy.  One of the morning messages really affected my life for the long term.  You were talking about being with your family and how they would talk about food all the time.  You mentioned sitting with your mother while she made a sandwich and that if you had been alone, your sandwich would have been 3 times bigger.  This is me.  That was my life.  I had to learn what was "normal".  It is not normal to eat an entire package of Oreo cookies (I have actually done this!).  It is not normal to go back for 3 servings of dinner or eat 5 bread sticks with your spaghetti.  I had to realize how abnormal my eating habits were and that I am a creature of habit.  I didn't stop at McDonald's every morning for 5 years and order the same thing because I was hungry.  I did it because it was just what I wanted to do.  When I look back at that person, I don't know what to think of her.  I am disgusted when I think about that girl... not because of my weight or physical appearance but because I let her get to that point.

I have learned so much in the past 2 weeks that go well beyond the cost of this program.  For the first time, I am excited about my future!

Sonodalove...

I am beginning to change the way I look at food. I know that I actually can have whatever I want as long as it is in moderation. I know I can make the choice to not eat something and it is my choice and I don't have to give it up forever I just can't have some things everyday!

The backward approach is perfect. Instead of having the pressure of losing weight I have been able to focus on what the problems are and slowly correct them. Identifying what has not been working for me is making all the difference in the world. I was at a point where I thought I couldn't lose weight and now in two weeks of just learning how to maintain the weight I am I have lost 3.5 pounds. Absolutely Amazing.

Fabbykitkat...

The biggest change I have made is thinking about the long-term and not just thinking I want to be skinny by Christmas or some date that is close.  I have made peace with my current weight, but know now that I can loose it if I am patient with myself.  Also this program has made me realize that I don't have to go on some crazy deprivation diet to loose the weight, and in fact, it is better in the long run if I do this slowly.

I think the best thing that has happened with the backwards approach is that instead of being afraid of maintenance in the future, I finally understand what I can eat when it is time to stop dieting for weight loss.  Maintenance was something I was usually afraid of, now I know with confidence what I will be able to eat and still maintain my weight.  I don't feel like I have to face a future of deprivation, but a future of choices!

What you don't get is your own daily log with me or personal support. Auditing options for both programs are set at $39 USD.

 One-on-One 6 Week Intro Program...

$199 for Six Week Intro Program with 2X a week phone support and daily emails. Click here for more info.

You must be 75 lbs overweight to be in this program.

This is the very successful program I am offering to all obese men and women regardless of their dieting history. It is very personal with twice a week phone calls and tweaking of your program for life-long success. This program is only open to those with over 75 lbs to lose and who are willing to have an open mind toward change. This first six weeks is not a fast weight loss program, it is a reality check, a way of coming to terms with what you are honestly willing and able to do to achieve your goals. Together we work at your pace and design a plan that fits into your life instead of you trying to fit your life around the program. I have to admit this is my favorite support option as it allows me to really connect with my clients and help them through the day to day hiccups that normally would derail them.

The perfect day to start taking control of your relationship with food will never arrive, so why not make it today?
