Mar 21, 2010 Mo Hits 60 lbs Gone in 5 Months!
Well, here she is, a month later, with ten more pounds gone forever! She's looking good, don't you think? Oh, are you thinking, ten pounds a month? That's not very much, the folks on The Biggest Loser, lose that in a week. Of course all they do is exercise every waking moment. Mona, works, takes care of a family, and has a bum hip that keeps her from overdoing and still there she is just one tenth of a pound away from Onederland. Let's see, she started in October of last year, when most people were thinking more about holidays than dieting, and has worked a diet and exercise program that fit into her life and kept her from feeling deprived. At this rate, she will be at her goal weight before this year's holiday season. How's that for reality? Mona is also dropping down to 2X a month private support with me. I will miss our calls, but part of this process, so the loss lasts a lifetime, is to be able to do it on your own. Neither one of us is ready to say good-bye just yet, but if you spoke to her, you would know she is very close to not needing my help at all. I have to say, I am very proud of her. When she sent me her scale photo this morning, it made my day. We all deserve this type of success, but like I am always telling you, it takes really wanting it. Not half wanting it, not knowing you need it, but really wanting it and deciding that regardless of what life throws at you, you are just going to do it and get it done. That's what Mo does, and trust me, she has gone through stressful times lately. While that stress affected every other aspect of her life, she chose not to let it affect her eating. She wants this, and she believes it is her time to get it. What about you? Is it your time? Where do you want to be this coming holiday season? Willpower is some mystical force associated with temptation, it's self-will, the ability to stand up to yourself and your old fears and addictions and say," no. I know what I want and overeating is not part of that plan." There's no willpower involved, it is a determined state of mind. "I want it, therefore I will do it!" Cosi is coming back!I am so proud of Cosi. She lost 30 pounds with me last fall, and then maintained her weight loss through the winter. Lately with a new job, five pounds crept back, so instead of waiting to regain her weight, she is coming back for a refresher course so she can nip some fat brain habits that are trying to work their way back into her life. This is how we all have to do it. Realize that we are human, and that we may not always be perfect, but not let it ever get out of control. I must say, I am very happy to have her back.
