On this program we actually work through the Fat Brain Lies workbook. For the first month we will work backwards from any diet you have ever tried. We will start with maintenance. Learning what it takes for you to maintain your weight teaches us exactly how to create a plan for weight loss. Once we determine your maintenance plan we will shave off calories, but not haphasordly. You will learn how to make good choices, good choices for you. I will not ask or expect you to eat foods you do not like, or condiments that taste like plastic. I believe in whole foods, whether they are vegan, vegetarian, or animal products. Fake foods do nothing for you. You will be expected to count calories which we both know you will hate, but that is only until you learn the truth behind food and the real value of what you put in your mouth. Exercise is mandatory for any weight loss or even maintenance program. We will look at your physical abilities and motivations to choose a program you can do for life. It is no good to become an athlete for weight loss if you will not continue it when the weight is gone. My goal for you in this steady program is that you will not need me on your case for the rest of your life, and that after our six week program, and possibly another month or two you will have found your groove and feel confident you can do this on your own. Think about it. If you had just given up 300 calories a day for the past three years, you would have lost almost 100 pounds without even noticing. That is what I want to teach you. If you had walked for 45 minutes a day, you could have lost that 100 pounds in a year and a half. This is doable. If you give up the notion that the only diets worth doing are the fast weight loss diets, and instead learn to eat a little less each day and get on with your life, your fat suit would have been shed years ago. Don't put it off any longer. Let's get started so two years from now you aren't still sitting around waiting for the perfect diet to appear.
